Ms Ming Ying
Educational Psychologist/ TherapistMs Ming Ying is a registered educational psychologist (SPS) and fellow therapist (RETA). She graduated with distinctions from the NTU Master of Arts (Applied Psychology) Programme. As a former MOE teacher, she accumulated more than 10 years of teaching experiences in mainstream and special schools. She had served at Pathlight before joining School of the Arts (SOTA). In her free time, she lectures at NIE and conducts assessments at the DAS, Mindchamps Allied Care and Carecorner. She is a SRP approved supervisor for Psychologist and SNO trainees. As a student who had to repeat her A levels, her life goal is to help children and youths achieve and thrive.
Ms Emily
CounsellorMs Emily is a counsellor with more than 6 years of experience working with children and adults. She holds a master of psychology, majoring in counselling, from the Monash University Australia. As a registered psychologist with Psychology Board of Australia, she is committed to provide a safe and non-judgemental space for her clients to build awareness as well as to improve their well-being. Her area of specialisation are: distress, anger, depression, anxiety, trauma, insomnia, grief, attachment issues etc. Being musically-inclined, she also guides children in piano skills in her spare time.
Ms Fizah
Educational TherapistMs Fizah is an ex-MOE and current special needs educator. She has more than 9 years of experience, previously working in pre-school, mainstream school and an Autism-focused special school. Ms Fizah is a well-trained teacher with a Double Diploma in Special Education and Dyslexia Studies and a Specialist Diploma in Early Childhood Learning Support. Her students find her to be a dedicated and patient teacher. She is confident in guiding children with dyslexia, on the autism spectrum and those with multiple learning difficulties.
Ms Allena
Educational TherapistMs Allena has a Masters in Psychology of Education and a Specialist Diploma in Learning Differences. She has 7 years of experience in teaching and is passionate about helping children with various learning difficulties. She works with children from the Pre-school to Primary School levels. She believes that every child learns differently and she is equipped with various teaching strategies to help them.
Ms Kaylie
Educational TherapistMs Kaylie has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She enjoys working with children from pre-school to primary school levels. She has been giving specialised tuitions and teaching in enrichment centres for the past 9 years. With her background in teaching and child psychology, she hopes to make lessons engaging and help children learn better.
Ms Patricia
Counsellor and Educational TherapistMs Patricia graduated from NUS with a Bachelor of Arts degree and from NIE, a Diploma in Education and a Diploma in School Counselling. She is a former MOE Secondary School Teacher and a former Senior School Counsellor with 17 years of counselling experience. Working on the varied issues that teens encounter has imbued and equipped her with counselling knowledge, non-judgmental attitudes and practical skills to understand and provide counselling support to them. An empathetic, friendly and helpful person, she always enjoys interacting with youths. She also builds rapport and trust easily with them.
Ms Ellie
Educational TherapistMs Ellie has a Masters of Arts in Applied Psychology. She is phonics trained under MOE School-Based Dyslexia Remediation Programme. As a senior therapist, she has 5 years of experience supporting students between the ages of 7 – 15. She has taught students of varying difficulties, such as ASD, ADHD, ID, Dyslexia, Cerebral Palsy etc. Ms Ellie mainly teaches English and Math. She believes that every child wants, and is able to learn with the right support.
Ms Adella
Educational TherapistMs Adella holds a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Child and Youth Study and has an Advance Diploma in
Early Childhood Intervention (Special Needs). With 16 years of experience in teaching, she has worked extensively in private Special Education (SPED) preschools, as well as both international and local primary schools in Singapore. Ms. Adella’s expertise extends to the Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) approach, which she employs to provide comprehensive support to children with diverse needs. Her dedication to promoting inclusiveness is evident, as she passionately advocates for creating inclusive environments in schools and workplaces.
Ms Chitra
Educational TherapistMs Chitra, has a Bachelor of Arts and Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the National Institute of Education. She is an ex-MOE teacher for English, Maths, Science. She has over 30 years of teaching experience in both Primary and Secondary Schools. Ms Chitra has taught children who has dyslexia and mild autism who are in the local primary schools. As a caring and friendly teacher, she will think of creative ways to engage her students e.g. Sandpaper tracing and English word play to guide her students.
Ms Chong
Educational TherapistMs Chong has a Diploma in Education from the National Institute of Education. She is an ex-MOE teacher for English and has been teaching the subject for the past 10 years. She focuses on building foundation of students, particularly for grammar and annotation skills for Comprehension components. She also improves their vocabulary and writing skills for composition. She specializes in helping weaker student excel. Most recently a student started off with single digit score and after a month of lessons, she managed to pass her SA1.
Mr Kesavan
CounsellorMr Kesavan holds a Master of Social Science, majoring in counselling, from the University of Southern Australia. He has forty-five years of experience working as a counsellor, social worker, supervisor and trainer in the field of adult and youth behavioural, addiction and crisis counselling. He specialises in motivational and self-improvement programmes for individuals and groups. He has also conducted weekly life skills sessions in a national radio programme, parent education talks in community clubs and private organisations. Mr Kesavan’s long history of service speaks of his passion and interest in Helping People to Help Themselves.
Ms Celeste
Educational TherapistMs Celeste has an advanced diploma in special needs. She has been guiding children with special needs from preschool to primary levels since 2013. She is trained in play therapy and has experience in early intervention (TEACCH) method and behavior therapy (ABA-VB) method. She also teaches sensory art to special needs kids using various mixed mediums. Ms Celeste is a dedicated teacher who believes in an inclusive society for all children.
Ms Jing Hwee
Educational TherapistJing Hwee has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies from NTU. She also holds a Specialist Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education. During her 8 years tenure as a preschool teacher, she worked with young children with literacy and behavioral issues. She also gave private tuition mainly in the English and Chinese language to primary and secondary school students with varied learning abilities. She possesses a Certificate in Dyslexia and Literacy Teaching; which equips her with strategies to help learners with dyslexia using the OG approach. Jing Hwee is proficient in 3 languages and she enjoys providing language-based support to students of varied profiles to achieve academic success.
Ms Elizabeth
Ms Elizabeth has a Bachelor’s Degree (with Honours) in Science from NUS and Post Graduate Diploma in Education from NTU/NIE. She has more than 36 years of teaching experience and working with children from varied backgrounds. She has also attended numerous courses in supporting children with learning and behavioral challenges. Ms Elizabeth is proficient in teaching the English, Math and Science subjects up to secondary school level. With many years of experience in teaching, she is extremely patient and understanding and is able to adapt and adjust her teaching strategies to suit each child.

Our Charges
CHEERS current psycho-educational assessment rate is $500-700 per test. Please note that a formal diagnostic assessment may consist of 2 to 3 tests. We provide a subsidized fee for referrals from our external partners and low-income families.
